Stop Spending Good Money On Bad Beer
We started the Better Beer Draught Quality Certification Program because we grew tired of spending our good money on bad beer.
Certified Establishments are doing many things better than their competitors, but these are the big three differences:
- Frequent draught beer line cleaning
- "Beer Clean" Glasses
- Staff Training
Draught Beer Line Cleaning
Regular beer line cleaning is crucial, despite numerous myths. The amount of beer sold or its temperature is irrelevant. The key is hiring a professional company to clean draught lines thoroughly and consistently.
Certified establishments make the expensive investment into regular line cleaning to ensure you are served fresh, cold pints that have been poured through clean lines and taps.
Beer Clean Glasses
Every bar should clean its glassware in a commercial-grade glass washer of some kind. The problem is that those glass washers don’t remove the oil and grease on the inside of the glass caused by sugars, dairy, or napkins being shoved into the glasses. Even fingerprints have a negative impact.
Certified establishments supplement their regular glass cleaning with a Better Beer glass cleaning kit to regularly deep clean their pint glasses.
Draught Training For Bar Staff
You’ve probably noticed that service isn’t what it used to be. This is an industry problem.
Certified establishments have invested in training their staff on proper draught procedures to ensure you get a quality pint each time.
Where to Find Better Beer
Use the Better Beer Map to find Certified Establishments.
You can always check when you're there, because they will display a sticker with the current year.

It's good to know that we don't clean draught lines, sell, or service equipment.
There are line cleaning companies that have their own certification seal, but they are the ones cleaning the lines - the student and the teacher, if you will.
Better Beer is the only non-service company offering a certification program.
